25 Cities, 5,000 Lawyers and Their Friends Worldwide, Over 11 Million Rubles Raised: Results of Legal Run 2025
From April 12 to June 28, more than 5,000 lawyers and their friends took part in Legal Run across 25 cities in Russia and other countries around the world. Legal Run is the first international charity initiative uniting legal professionals worldwide in support of the “Podari Zhizn” Foundation and several regional funds. In 2025, Legal Run was held for the twelfth time — over the years, the project has raised more than 45.5 million rubles and helped 128 children.
This year, Legal Run raised 10.5 million rubles, which will support seventeen beneficiaries of the “Podari Zhizn” Foundation with various oncological diagnoses: Yesenia Romanovna Zhelezova (Kaliningrad) – myelodysplastic syndrome; Darya Igorevna Dyachok (Saratov) – T-cell non-Hodgkin's large cell lymphoma; Melania Evgenievna Kosareva (Nizhny Novgorod region) – acute lymphoblastic leukemia; Andrey Evgenievich Klinichev (Kaliningrad) – B-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma); Daniel Adilovich Zagorulko (Yekaterinburg) – thalassemia; Kirill Alexandrovich Ivanko (Chelyabinsk) – Burkitt's lymphoma (B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma); Nurtilek Rayimbekovich Baktygulov (Kyrgyzstan) – recurrent juvenile angiofibroma of the middle ear, nasal cavity, and paranasal sinuses; Eleonora Aisenovna Afanasyeva (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)) – acute lymphoblastic leukemia; Savva Alexandrovich Andronov (Irkutsk) – T-cell non-Hodgkin's large cell lymphoma; Arseny Alexeevich Barkov (Volgograd region) – Nijmegen breakage syndrome; Eva Shagenovna Artyunova (Rostov region) – thalassemia; Matvey Denisovich Kazantsev (Pushkino, Moscow region) – acute leukemia; Petr Maximovich Yanov (Izhevsk) – acute lymphoblastic leukemia; Dobromira Mikhailovna Mamontova (Krasnoyarsk) – acute lymphoblastic leukemia; Anastasia Artemovna Leva (Kaliningrad region) – optic nerve glioma; Danila Nikolaevich Pomortsev (Chelyabinsk) – B-cell non-Hodgkin's large cell lymphoma; Sofia Ruslanovna Kukleva (Nizhny Novgorod region) – acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
In addition, as part of the Ural Legal Run project, lawyers in Yekaterinburg raised 728,127 rubles for the “Children of Russia” Ural Charity Foundation. The funds were allocated to six beneficiaries: a specialized wheelchair was purchased for Ulyana Zhuravlyova; three beneficiaries received assistance even before their stories were published on the foundation’s website; Roma Atnagullov, who has cerebral palsy, was provided with a specialized electric treadmill; customized wheelchairs were funded for Seryozha Lazarev and Sasha Kazakov, who also have cerebral palsy; 23,486 rubles were directed to Alina and Artyom Sasins, for whom fundraising is still ongoing. In 2025, the official lawyers' runs took place over two and a half months from April 12 to June 28 across 25+ cities worldwide.
Key dates included:
April 12: Dubai (UAE) kicked off the international series.
April 26: Runs followed in Limassol (Cyprus) and Belgrade (Serbia).
May 17: Large-scale runs in four cities — Moscow (Meshchersky Park), Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, and Lake Como (Italy).
May 24: Legal Run in Tyumen.
May 25: Events in St. Petersburg, Barnaul, and Krasnoyarsk.
June 7: Eight cities joined simultaneously — Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Izhevsk, Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Blagoveshchensk, and Murmansk — plus a flash mob in Omsk.
June 8: Yekaterinburg hosted its run.
June 12: Samara held its event.
June 14: A run in Amsterdam (Netherlands).
June 21: Finale in Vladivostok and Saratov.
June 28: Kazan closed Legal Run 2025.
The project's geography expands every year — this year, runs were held for the first time in Izhevsk, Barnaul, Irkutsk, as well as at Lake Como and in Amsterdam.
In addition to the official races, Global Legal Run flash mobs were held in support of the project across various cities in Russia (Omsk, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Ulyanovsk, Krasnodar, Sochi, Kursk) and around the world (Berlin, Barcelona, and others). In total, over 16,000 people worldwide participated in these flash mob runs during the campaign.
The organization of races in Moscow and other cities is made possible annually through the sponsorship of leading Russian companies, law firms, and bar associations. In 2025, the project was supported by over 200 partners across different cities. Beyond financial contributions, many partners took additional initiative by participating in local races through special and creative projects or joining as volunteers.
Thus, Legal Run has evolved beyond a purely charitable initiative, transforming into a professional platform uniting the legal community. The project connects lawyers through sports, informal networking, and team-building, allowing participants to combine leisure with a socially impactful cause. Many companies joined the races with large corporate teams — the biggest team in Legal Run history was Gazpromneft Expert Solutions, with 75 lawyer-participants at the SPb Legal Run — while others brought along family members and cheer squads.
This year, Legal Run introduced its own merchandise line: the brand Mark Formelle released a limited-edition capsule collection of branded T-shirts, with 50% of sales donated to the “Podari Zhizn” Foundation, contributing to the total funds raised during Legal Run 2025.
More than 600 lawyer-organizers and volunteers across multiple cities dedicated their time and effort to make Legal Run 2025 a success — united by their passion for sports and philanthropy.
Photos and videos from Legal Run 2025 events in all participating cities are now available on the project’s official website.
