About the project

From 18 May to 8 June over 5000 lawyers and their friends from over 35 cities and 12 countries took part in Legal Run 2019 – a unique fundraising project that has been uniting representatives of the global professional community of lawyers to support Gift of Life charity fund and other regional funds. In 2019 Legal Run celebrates its 5th Anniversary. 

In 2019 we raised 5,1 mln rubles within Legal Run: 

Official runs took place during 3 weeks in 10 cities from May 18 to June 8. On May 18 the runs took place in Saint-Petersburg and Kazan, on May 25 the Legal Run marathon was picked up in Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Tyumen, on May 26 - in Samara, on May 31 in Rostov-on-Don and on June 8, the final race was Legal Run in Blagoveshchensk and in Moscow. In addition to the races in the listed cities on the same days, the Global Legal Run campaign was held around the world - global flashmobs of lawyers in support of the Legal Run project. This year, more than 1,000 people participated in the action in this format in 25 cities of the world.  

Despite the 30-degree heat, Legal Run in Moscow gathered more than 1,000 participants and 2,000 fans. The race was held on the territory of Skolkovo - Russia's first scientific and technological innovation center with an area of ​​more than 600 hectares. Skolkovo acted as a co-organizer of the race. The route at a distance of 5 and 10 km passed along the central artery of the complex - Bolshoi Boulevard. The performance of the music band KPP from the law firm Kulkov, Kolotilov and Partners was a bright accent of the event.

In Moscow, in addition to the top places among men and women at distances of 5 and 10 km, according to the results of the race, the jury determined the “Most Sporting Corporate Team” and “The Largest Corporate Team” of Legal Run Skolkovo 2019. The prize in both nominations was awarded to the team of Egorov, Puginsky, Afanasyev and Partners, a law office with 37 participants from the company. "The most active fan team" was the support team of the law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

The organization of the races took place at the expense of private donations and sponsors - law firms and other companies. More than 500 people worked on the Legal Run project in different cities: organizing committees in Moscow and other cities of official races, lawyers and marketing specialists, who are not indifferent to sports and charity and, of course, numerous volunteers.
